How many times can you charge earbuds?

People can often be skittish with a new earbuds, especially if it’s expensive. In most cases, the greatest issue they have is the charging. They usually have questions regarding how long they should charge, or how to know it’s fully charged, how many times they should charge, etc. You’re in luck because if you are one of them,Wellyp as TWS earbuds manufacturer has everything there is to know about charging earbuds, and today we are talking about how many times your earbuds charging.

The short answer is you should charge as often as required. Depending on the battery, earbuds can last 1.5 to 3 hours after which you have put them back in the case. The case can last up to 24 hours after which you have to plug it in. So, you have to charge your earbuds at least once every 24 hours.

On average, Bluetooth earbuds’ lifespan is around 1-2 years with medium to heavy use. If you take gentle care of your earbuds, you can expect them to last 2-3 years in good condition.

There are some ways that you can use your wireless earbuds and you will be killing the battery life gradually without knowing. One of the ways is by completely draining the battery at all times before charging.

Generally, battery size is what determines how long a TWS bluetooth earbuds lasts. The bigger the size of the battery, the longer it lasts. Bluetooth earbuds are small, thus making their playtime incomparable to Bluetooth headphones.

TWS earbuds

Lithium-ion batteries can’t be overcharged, but they have a limited amount of charge cycles until the battery starts to degrade &will need to be replaced. Typically it has around 300-500 charge cycles. Once your earbuds hit under 20%of charge, that’s one charge cycle lost, so the more you let your wireless earbuds fall below 20%, the faster the battery will degrade. The battery will naturally degrade over time which is completely fine; however, by charging it every before it hits under 20%charge, you greatly increase the lifespan of your wireless earbuds' battery. So leaving your wireless earbuds in the case when not in use is actually far better for your earbuds battery health.
So Pls check our suggestion as below:

Charging for the First Time

The first charging is the most crucial stage. We all have a tendency to power on the earbuds and check the audio quality and other features immediately after receiving the product.

But most of the premium brands like Philips, Sony, etc., suggest charging their device before using it for the first time. It ensures maximum battery life and more charging cycles.

Even though your wireless earbud has some charge, we strongly recommend you to charge your case and earbuds for at least 2-3 hours, depending on the model. When it gets fully charged, power off, and you can pair earbuds with mobile and enjoy your music or movies.

The digital display or indicator bulbs tell you the status of charging. You can use the first charge table to understand the charging duration, and it can also apply to Bluetooth earbuds and earphones with similar specifications.

Normal Charging

From the second recharge itself, you can charge your case with or without earbuds in it. While placing the earbuds wireless in the pouch, make sure that left earbuds are kept in the slot marked as “L” and right earbuds in the “R” slot.

Also, confirm that proper contact has been made between the metallic pins in the case and the metallic portion in the earbud wireless. But the latest magnetic technology appropriately adjusts the wireless earbuds in the slot by itself.

Most of the earbuds also have an inbuilt bulb in the earbuds to indicate whether it is charging or fully charged. If the light is blinking-it is charging, if the light is solid-it is fully charged, and no light indicates a completely exhausted battery.

Once the battery got fully charged, remove the charger firmly and straight; otherwise, it may damage the charging port and USB.

How to Ensure Your Earbuds Last Longer

No matter their battery life and life expectancy, it’s crucial you take steps to make your earbuds last longer.

1-Carry Your Case: This is important because it is recommended that you don’t let batteries fully run out of charge, and also –you don’t want your earphones to fully run out of charge.

Keeping your wireless earbuds in the case will do more good than harm. Firstly, almost all wireless earbuds will stop charging once they reach 100%charge and have a trickle feature that slows down charging from 80%to 100%to reduce over stimulating the battery. So there is no need to worry that you are overcharging your earbuds since charging comes to a complete halt once it’s full.

2-Build a Routine: Try building a routine around charging your True Wireless earbuds so you don’t forget and let them fully exhaust their battery. The best way to build such a routine is to charge them when you’re not using them: while sleeping, in the car, or at work, pop them in their case to charge (this also keeps them safe!)

3-Clean the Earbuds: Clean your earbuds and the case periodically with a dry, lint-free, and a soft cloth (you may even dab a little rubbing alcohol on the cloth to make it a 100%bacteria-free experience). The microphone and speaker meshes should be carefully cleaned with a dry cotton swab or a soft-bristled toothbrush. Pretty common sense, but a simple cleaning routine is often overlooked.

4-Protect them from any types of liquids: submerging them in any watery substance can seriously damage them in the long run. While some earbuds are made with a water-resistant option, it doesn’t mean that they are waterproof. There are no wireless earbuds currently on the market like that, but let’s hope they will come out soon. Until then the rule is no aqua.

5-Don’t Carry Them In Your Pocket: The case isn’t just there to charge. Dust and items like keys that you store in your pocket can seriously damage the earbuds, reducing their life expectancy. Store them in their case and keep both away from liquids at all times.

6-Avoid Sleeping with Your Headphones On: As that, can cause serious harm! Instead, place them in a case to store them safely next to your bed. Make sure you give your wireless earbuds a “workout” once in a while: don’t leave them unused for weeks and months, rather put them to use. Just make sure you keep the volume at an adequate level and always keep them charging in a case. This way you won’t be disappointed one day after discovering that the battery is completely drained, therefore you won’t be able to have accompaniment for your favorite jog or a spin class workout.

One cannot forget, however, that in order for this fragile device to last for a while, some necessary steps have to be taken, be it charging, cleaning, or storing routine. Take good care of them and you will be able to happily enjoy many weeks, months, and even years of great listening experience.
